Introducing OMPHOBBY M2 V3 SPORT – As spicy, less pricey!
Since the introduction of the M2 V3 PRO, thousands of customers around the world have praised and appreciated its next-level engineering, light-weight construction and superior OFS3 flight control system, quickly establishing it as the definitive 200-size micro helicopter to own. Having received tons of valuable customer feedback, it has become clear to us that we have built an absolute marvel in the micro RC Helicopter space, although one question kept being brought up – could we produce an equally incredible helicopter, at a lower price?
Our ace engineering team has set out to achieve what was once thought impossible: On a quest to build a more affordable, yet equally as amazing version of the M2 V3 PRO, they optimized the manufacturing process in many areas to bring the cost down to a much more affordable level. The result is the all new OMPHOBBY M2 V3 SPORT, delivering market leading flight performance at an incredibly attractive price point!
Our top priority was keeping the M2 V3 SPORT 100% parts-compatible with the M2 V3 PRO. From a purely mechanical and geometric standpoint, there are zero differences between the two airframes. M2 V3 SPORT is powered by the same, amazingly efficient and powerful R40X-3 and R13X-3 motors as M2 V3 PRO, features the same, incredibly agile main rotor geometry, as well as the same light and durable carbon fiber tail boom, and is controlled by the new OFS3+ flight controller with integrated ExpressLRS™ (more info below).
While the M2 V3 PRO will remain available as OMPHOBBY’s top-of-the-line flagship model for all those who want the best of the best, the new M2 V3 SPORT aims to complement it as a more budget-friendly option. For this purpose, the manufacturing process of M2 V3 SPORT has been optimized in multiple ways:
•Clear anodized aluminum parts save significant cost in parts post-processing, while retaining the same exceptional fit and tolerances as the black anodized, bead-blasted parts used on M2 V3 PRO. Different look, same performance!
•OMPHOBBY DS2710 servos reduce weight and cost, while delivering comparable performance to DS2710MG for beginners, intermediate flyers, and even advanced pilots.
•Newly duotone printed OMPHOBBY 190mm rotor blades re-use the proven plastic blend from the M2 EVO MK2, reducing injection molding cost while enhancing flight stability and smoothness, especially benefitting less experienced pilots.
•Two new canopy designs in Aurora Green and Nebula Pink streamline the canopy manufacturing process and reduce painting complexity and cost.
•A white tail fin reduces printing complexity, while still offering incredible visibility, also making the canopy the only color-coordinated part on the airframe.
•The 89mm tail propeller delivers the same performance as the M2 V3 PRO’s APEX 45 propeller, without the cost and complexity of a printed design, only slightly reducing in-flight visibility.
All parts are interchangeable between M2 V3 SPORT and M2 V3 PRO, so that you can freely mix and match parts, bringing the wonderful side effect of many new options for customization!

While we’re making the M2 V3 SPORT less expensive for the end user, we are also upgrading the flight controller of both M2 V3 SPORT and M2 V3 PRO, starting February 2026:
The upgraded OFS3+ flight controller with integrated ExpressLRS™ receiver will from now on be the default in both M2 V3 SPORT and M2 V3 PRO! This saves you from purchasing a separate receiver with your helicopter, as OFS3 is now truly bind-and-fly with any ExpressLRS™ capable transmitter! Both OFS3 and OFS3+ will be receiving the same firmware updates in the future, and there will be no differences in functionality besides the integrated ExpressLRS™ receiver. OFS3+ of course retains full compatibility with external receivers, including CRSF, DSM, S.BUS, F.Port and the newly added SRXL2 protocol!

A new, optional OMPHOBBY 3S 1000mAh 60C LiHV battery will be available as an accessory for M2 V3 SPORT and M2 V3 PRO. At only appx. 66g, we managed to increase energy density by 35%, enabling significantly longer flight times for your M2 V3 helicopter at only slightly increased weight!
M2 V3 SPORT’s MSRP is $359 USD with OFS3+ and one 3S 750mAh 60C battery. It will be available at your favorite OMPHOBBY retailer in February 2026.
